One of the better conventions, ever, do you think it might have anything to
do with Bob Giglio being back in charge?
No. Not at all actually. One guy doesn't make a convention. I will say
he probably didn't do anything to hurt it.

People not jammed in.
My personal view on the flea market (and I walked through many times during
the weekend) was it wasn't any better than other years product wise More
space between the tables was nice though.

facilities. Many rooms were under renovation, tinted window installation the
most obvious. Taking rooms out of service during peak season underlines the
effort!
???? You must have been staying at a different Host. Maybe they're
planning an upgrade but current conditions are a huge decline from past years based
on my room.

HMGS. Sadly, they resorted to chicanery. (printing out bogus ballots, etc.)
One elected HMGS director deposed.

> From what I saw this last weekend, the space could easily be used for
other games/dealers/flea market. HMGS has agonized the last few years about
expanding to another facility. The fiasco in Baltimore, only underscores the
difficulty of moving elsewhere. It might take a couple of years, but the Host
is flexible on space.

Frankly Rohn, that statement is kind of a twist on what really happened.
Apparently Gordon isn't the only FOPP (Friend of Pete Panzeri) :-) in BGB.
Politics did indeed rear it's ugly head but mainly because of the attempt by
Pete Panzeri and his supporters to hijack HMGS East into his private wargaming
club. The ancients guys were only part of the group opposed to this effort
(anyone ever hear of Bob Coggins?). Also, this had nothing to do with the
deposed director, who was reinstated at the meeting by acclamation (there were
several serious irregularities in his deposition which even Pete admitted to
and this was confirmed by the HMGS legal counsel as well as other lawyers who
are members of HMGS. Sounds like you got fed a very one sided story.

Enough of this on the BGB website. Glad to discuss more details in private
emails if you want.

Sorry I missed you there.
