What a fantastic time we had. The village was thronged with reenactors from
end to end. The most spectacular things I saw was the 100 man Union unit doing
close order drill and General and Mrs. Ulysses S. Grant on horseback looking
like they rode their horses out of the mist of time.
The game was the inspired mesmerizing work of Pete E. and his ACW 25 mm. He
ran four games virtually in a row. He earned a new nick name as the "M-60 of
anecdotes " prompting one of the kids in the game to look up and ask him "Hey
Mister are you a History teacher?". He was that day. On a day when Old
Sturbridge Village was jam packed with the sight and sounds and the excitement of
nonstop events Pete had 8 kids glued to his game table FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. We
handed out roughly over 150 brochures and spoke with any and all adults who
literally could not walk past without remaining transfixed by what they were seeing.
Everyone from BGB who came received a Free Guest Pass to OSV and an ID for
10% off anything we purchased that weekend.
I can't wait for the October event Matt is lining up at which Tom Ballou will
be doing his bocage game.
Special thanks for your support to all who showed up: Pete, Sam, Neil, Rich,
James, Greg, Rob, Rodney, and Mark.

Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me either.
Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."
