Game went well. Pete E. commanding the Vichy French in Syria, 1941. Forces included 6th Chasseurs D'Afrique (R-35's with 2 sqdn cavalry and Levant Mtn. artillery) entering at the northern end of the board and the second sqdn. of R-35's supported by 3/6 of the L'Egion Etrangere and 1/22 Tirailliers Algerien with 1/86th Artillery of 3 batteries of 75L36 entering slightly north/west. Defending a ridge line in their path "Balate Ridge" were a Bn. of Scott's Greys and parallel on an adjacent ridge 6th Australian Div Cav of Mkvi-B's and recon carriers. Immediately south was the town of Merdjayuoun defended by various units of Peach's Coy. and support by 10 battery 2/5th Field artillery (25lb.s). Game raged for 9 turns with decisive French victory. Both ridge lines cleared and secured then the push was on for the town with too little to hold out. Replicated the history. Fun scenario taken directly from "Command Post" Issue 1 Winter 1993 page 41.
